About
Jonathan Greifenkamp, M.D., FACC, FSCAI, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is licensed in nuclear medicine and echocardiography. He is trained in peripheral intervention and is the only local physician trained in carotid stenting. Dr. Greifenkamp is also the director of the Vein Center of Longview Regional Medical Center, where he performs the most up-to-date venous ablation techniques.
Dr. Greifenkamp has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, cum laude, from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. He received his medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and also served as chief resident and assistant professor there. Dr. Greifenkamp completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Methodist DeBakey Heart Institute.
Dr. Greifenkamp was born in Galveston and raised in Longview. He now lives in Longview with his wife, Jillian, and three sons.
